دانشجویان را به خاطر آزادی، شرافت و جوانمردی در دفاع از مردم مظلوم فلسطین تحسین می کنیم

مایلم توجه شما را به یک اصل مهم آموزش عالی جلب کنم که آزادی آکادمیک و حق آزادی بیان است. به عنوان رهبران جامعه روشنفکران، از روسای دانشگاه انتظار می رود که هر گونه تلاش برای سرکوب درخواست های عدالت را به شدت محکوم کنند. دستگیری اخیر چندین دانشجو که شجاعانه از مردم مظلوم فلسطین حمایت کرده اند، از دانشگاه شما توسط پلیس دولتی نمونه بارز استفاده از زور توسط دولت برای خاموش کردن صداهای مخالف است که مایه نگرانی روزافزون است. ما در دانشگاه بین‌المللی امام خمینی (ره) از وقایع رخ داده عمیقاً متأسف و نگران هستیم. ما شدیداً به آزادی بیان اعتقاد داریم و از هیچ گونه سرکوب یا ظلم علیه افراد یا گروه ها به دلیل ابراز مخالفت علیه بی عدالتی چشم پوشی نمی کنیم.

ما به ویژه نگران دانشجویانی هستیم که به دلیل اظهار نظر علیه اقدامات ظالمانه صهیونیست ها علیه مردم فلسطین دستگیر شدند. وضعیت فلسطین برای ما بسیار نگران کننده است و ما در همبستگی با مردم فلسطین که در ماه های اخیر رنج های زیادی را متحمل شده اند می ایستیم. بیش از 40000 نفر از جمله بیش از 10000 کودک در ماه های گذشته به طرز وحشیانه ای کشته شده اند که قلب مردم را در سراسر جهان به درد می آورد.

ما همچنین دانشجویان را به خاطر آزادی، شرافت و جوانمردی در دفاع از مردم مظلوم فلسطین تحسین می کنیم. ما با همه دانشمندانی که نسبت به سانسور و تبعیض رسانه ای و همچنین سرکوب دانشجویان توسط پلیس آمریکا ناراحت و معترض هستند، همدردی می کنیم و می ایستیم. ما تضعیف شأن علمی را محکوم می کنیم. امید است همچنان به دفاع از حقوق و عدالت دانشجویان خود و حفظ حرمت عرصه علمی و آزادی بیان ادامه دهید. مطمئن باشید که ما این موضوع را بسیار جدی می گیریم و در کنار دانشجویان دستگیر شده شما که شجاعانه از مردم مظلوم فلسطین دفاع می کنند، می ایستیم. با کمال احترام از شما تقاضا داریم فرصتی برای دانشجویان فراهم شود تا مخالفت خود را با اقدامات ظالمانه صهیونیست ها نسبت به ملت فلسطین اعلام کنند و هرگونه اقدامی که این اصول را نقض کند به موقع و مناسب محکوم شود.

To the Presidents of the USA Universities,

I would like to bring your attention to a significant principle of higher education, which is academic freedom and the right to free speech. As leaders of the intellectual community, university presidents are expected to strongly condemn any attempt to suppress calls for justice. The recent arrest of several students, who have bravely supported the oppressed people of Palestine, from your university by the State police is a clear example of the government's use of force to silence dissenting voices, which is a matter of growing concern. We at Imam Khomeini International University are deeply saddened and worried by the events that have taken place. We strongly believe in the freedom of speech and expression, and we do not condone any form of suppression or oppression against individuals or groups for speaking out against injustice.

We are particularly concerned about the students who were arrested for speaking out against the cruel actions of Zionists toward the Palestinian people. The situation in Palestine is of great concern to us, and we stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people who have suffered greatly in recent months. Over 40,000 people, including more than 10,000 children, have been brutally killed during the last months, which hurts people’s hearts all around the world.

We also applaud the students for their freedom, honor, and chivalry in defending the oppressed people of Palestine. We sympathize and stand with all the scientists who are upset and protesting against media censorship and discrimination, as well as the suppression of students by the American police. We condemn the undermining of academic dignity. It is hoped that you will continue to defend the rights and justice of your students, and protect the dignity of the scientific field and freedom of expression. Please be assured that we take this matter very seriously and stand with your arrested students, who bravely defend the oppressed people of Palestine. We respectfully request you that opportunities be made available for students to express their dissent with the cruel actions of Zionists toward the Palestinian people, and that any actions that violate these principles be condemned in a timely and appropriate manner.
